Program & Scholarship Overview
Program Title
• Positive Influence Music Program
Program Purpose
• The purpose of the program is to teach music production and allow students to be creative. Students will arrange musical instruments into musical compositions. The program also has a strong emphasis on academic achievement and will provide factual up-to-date information to parents and their teens to ensure a strategy is in place for students to remain focused on academic improvement.
Target Group
• Youths ages 12-18
Format
• The Program consists of 10 hands-on workshops and 5 discussion workshops. The hands-on segment will require students to create musical compositions using the FRUITY LOOPS music software program which may be easily installed on any laptop or PC. All students upon enrollment will receive a copy of this software for their own personal computers at home to develop their skills. Students will be allowed to submit only one original composition and compete for the chance to win the Positive Music Program Scholarship. The program will award $150 cash, new musical keyboard, & software to the student who shows outstanding musical development and the desire for academic achievement. Total value of scholarship is $500.

• Educational Opportunities Available on the Internet
• Creating opportunities through the internet
• Developing a Dream and a Legacy
• Working With Others for a Common Goal
